to be conferred with Padma Shri award.

film maker, editor, TV anchor, social activist and a famous alumnus of
IIM Ahmedabad. She is the daughter of the famous scientist Vikram
Sarabhai and reputed dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai. Intelligence and talent

Padma Subramanyam

singer, research scholar, teacher and author, Dr. Padma Subramanyam is
one of the most respected and reputed Bharatanatyam dancers of India.
She was born on 4th February, 1943 in Chennai.
Pandit Birju Maharaj
One of the leading exponents of Kathak, Pandit Birju Maharaj is a
renowned classical dancer of India. He was born on 4th February, 1938 as
Brijmohan Nath Mishra. He hails from the legendary Maharaj family of
Kathak dancers of Lucknow and is the son of Acchan Maharaj
Sonal Mansingh
Sonal Mansingh is one of the finest classical dancers of the country,
who has made her mark in the field of Dance. Born on 1st May 1943 in
Mumbai, Sonal Mansingh is a multifarious personality. Sonal is best
known for her Odissi dance; nevertheless she is a social reformer,
philosopher, examiner, speaker, choreographer and trainer too.
Yamini Krishnamurthy
Yamini Krishnamurthy is an eminent classical dancer of India. She has
attained her mastery over the dances of Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi.
Yamini was born in 1940 at Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. She took birth in
a Telugu family, on a full moon night.
